Homid Name: Steve Grundleson
Tribe: Get of Fenris
Pure Breed: 2
Pack: Sun Pack
Description: Steve is in his early 30’s, with a young looking, innocent face. While not particularly attractive, he has an easy going friendly demeanor about him that makes most people extremely comfortable around him. He dresses like a typical white collar entry worker: button down shirt, wrinkled khakis, with cheap (occasionally tacky) ties and scuffed up loafers. Steve is wiry, and has, since his first change, been spending a lot of time at the gym working out.
In crinos and wolf form Steve has reddish-black fur, and with a clear resemblance to red wolves. This makes Steve look quite different than the grey furred Get of Fenris ideal.
History: Steve Grundelson was an ideal kinfolk to the Get of Fenris. He graduated high school early at the age of 16, and began working for the Caern of the Sentinel doing whatever was needed. At night he attended North Country Community college, graduating quickly at age 17. He started to help handle the Caern’s bookeeping and tax work for the Sept members, while attending SUNY Adirondack part time. After graduating at age 20, he took over financial management of the majority of Get of Fenris accounts in the Northeast. For the next 12 years, Steve pursued his PhD in Economics and later Statistics at SUNY Plattsburgh, as well as receiving a law degree, while working on Get finances both in the Northeastern US, and traveling to Eastern Europe and helping abroad. A copy of his dissertations are both available online: “The German Economic Engine The Modern Protestant Work Ethic” and “What Can Big Data Tell Us About the Mismanagement of Iroquois and the Algonquians by the Anglo-Americans, 1700 – 2010.” Through the frustrating process of earning two doctorates, while being treated poorly by his Garou kinfolk, Steve developed inner strength, a sense of purpose and mental toughness nearly unparallelled by any of his kin. Steve’s toughness and perseverance allowed him to ingratiate himself to the Get and the Caern of the Sentinel, earning renown for his work protecting Get assets from minions of the Wyrm, a rare feat for Get kinfolk.
After returning from a long, exhausting trip to Europe to handle a hostile takeover of Get financial assets, Steve returned to the the Caern of the Sentinel where he was met by Ripgut Wyrmfoe. Ripgut intended to take Steve down a peg or two, as he was achieving more as a kinfolk than some Garou were, so Ripgut began viciously mocking him. Steve was used to such treatment, but this bullying was particularly harsh. Ripgut knocked him to the ground, questioned his manhood and his toughness. The rest is a blur for Steve, but when he awoke he was standing over Ripgut, nearly chewing his throat out. Ripgut, thoroughly embarrassed in front of his pack, swore vengeance against Steve. After a quick (and impressively successful) rite of passage, Steve was shipped off to the Sept of Falcon’s Roost. This rapid departure has hurt the Get business and financial infrastructure, and made Steve a number of enemies, including the Sept Jarl (alpha) Ripgut Wyrmfoe. While not as powerful or strong as most Get, Steve’s inner strength allows him, at times, to surprise many with his success.
Backgrounds: Steve, despite being persona non-grata amongst the Get, has an array of kinfolk contacts, particularly focused in the world of finance, banking and government oversight. He has contacts amongst many Glasswalker kinfolk, whom he has done many favors for. In addition, Steve keeps in touch with a few buddies from college, many of whom are well connected in the business realm. Lastly, Steve is clearly pure-bred to some extent, but exhibits few of the qualities that traditionally pure-bred Get posses.
